Being a parent is…

For four days, John and I watched my cousin’s three children while she and her husband were out of town. The kids were great. The live in a fabulous neighborhood in a fabulous house. She has a fantastic kitchen with so many ingredients and tools available. But, despite all this, John and I discovered being a parent is A LOT of hard work. We were exhausted by the time our adventure was over. We were so happy to turn their kids back over to them it was almost embarrassing. Our cats are the only kids we want for now 😉 We forgot to take many photos of our week of child rearing, but I’ll share the couple of things I was able to capture.
